§ 12.20.042. Dogs in city parks.

  • A.

    The City of Hamilton allows leashed dog(s) in two designated parks, River Park and Hieronymus Park. The following rules regarding dogs in those parks shall be observed at all times:

    (1)

    All dogs must be currently licensed and vaccinated.

    (2)

    Dangerous dogs, nuisance animals, or vicious animals as defined in Section 6.04.020 HMC are not allowed in Hamilton Parks.

    (3)

    Dogs must be leashed and under the direct control of a responsible person.

    (4)

    Cleanup of dog feces is required pursuant to Section 6.08.050 HMC.

    B.

    Unleashed dogs are allowed in the Hamilton Dog Park provided:

    (1)

    All dogs must be currently licensed and vaccinated.

    (2)

    Dangerous dogs, nuisance animals, or vicious animals as defined in Section 6.04.020 HMC are not allowed in the Hamilton Dog Park.

    (3)

    All dogs must be under the direct control of a responsible person at all times.

    (4)

    Cleanup of dog feces is required pursuant to Section 6.08.050 HMC.

    (5)

    All dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the dog park.

    (6)

    No food is allowed in the dog park.
